Baahubali: The Beginning

Baahubali: The Beginning review

Baahubali: The Beginning is a movie that plays like a long, powerful story. It does not rush. Instead, it slowly takes the viewer into a world of kings, warriors, mothers, and destiny. From start to finish, the film feels like someone is telling you an ancient tale, one chapter at a time.

The story begins in a time of war and chaos. In the middle of fire, blood, and broken weapons, a woman is running with a newborn baby in her arms. She is badly injured, yet she refuses to give up. She walks through deep water, protecting the child with all the strength she has left. When her life finally fades, she lifts the baby above the water and prays for his survival. That baby lives, and with him, a great story begins.

Years pass, and the child grows up near a massive waterfall in a small village. He is named Shivudu. From childhood, Shivudu is different. He is stronger than others, kind to everyone, and always ready to help. Even though his life is peaceful, his heart feels restless. The giant waterfall stands in front of him like a mystery, calling him every day. While others fear it, Shivudu keeps trying to climb it, falling again and again but never giving up.

One day, Shivudu finds a strange mask that flows down from the top of the waterfall. This simple object changes everything. His curiosity turns into determination. He climbs the waterfall once more, not knowing that this single act will lead him to his true identity and past.

Beyond the waterfall, the story moves back in time to the grand kingdom of Mahishmati. This kingdom is rich, powerful, and ruled by Queen Sivagami, a woman known for her strict sense of justice. She raises two boys as princes—Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva. Both are trained as warriors, but their nature is very different.

Amarendra Baahubali grows into a brave, noble, and kind man. He fights for the people, listens to their problems, and believes that a king must serve his kingdom. His strength comes from his compassion, and because of this, the people love him deeply.

Bhallaladeva is equally strong but driven by anger and pride. His desire for power slowly turns him cruel. He wants the throne not to protect the people, but to rule over them. As both men grow, their rivalry becomes the heart of the story.

The film shows many grand battles, filled with powerful visuals and heroic moments. But behind every fight is an emotion—loyalty to a king, love for a mother, or the pain of betrayal. The action never feels empty because it is always connected to the characters and their choices.

As the past unfolds, Shivudu’s present journey begins to make sense. He slowly discovers the truth about his birth and the reason behind his extraordinary strength. The waterfall that once blocked his path now feels like a bridge connecting him to his destiny.

The movie ends with a shocking and emotional moment that leaves the viewer with one unforgettable question: Why was Amarendra Baahubali killed? This question is not just about death, but about betrayal, sacrifice, and the true meaning of leadership.
